Availability Founding Practitioner Pilot Participant Agreement. Dated September 29, 2026
I am inviting you into this pilot because I want the Availability Snapshot to be shaped by practitioners who are willing to use it carefully, question it honestly, and tell the truth about what happens. This agreement names what I am offering through The Human Maturity Institute, what you are agreeing to bring, and how we will work together. You are not being asked to endorse the Snapshot or produce positive results.
This agreement is between Blue Heron Creations LLC, doing business as The Human Maturity Institute, 7990 SW Boeckman Rd, Wilsonville, OR 97070, and the participant named below.
What I am offering
I will provide the three training days on October 14-16, 2026, two case clinics, and the January harvest session.
I will provide the pre-work, practitioner materials, per-use learning note, and a one-year practitioner licence to use the Snapshot in your own client work, subject to this agreement.
I will create a learning environment where questions, uncertainty, disagreement, and critical feedback are welcome. I will not expect you to defend the Snapshot or make it look successful.
I will tell you what I know, what remains unresolved, and what changes as we learn. This pilot is not a certification.
HMI will protect your identity and your clients' identities in its learning records. I will ask separately before using your name, story, or words publicly.
What you are agreeing to
I will attend the three training days, both clinics, and the January harvest session. If something unavoidable comes up, I will say so in advance rather than disappear.
I will complete the pre-work before training begins, including taking the Availability Snapshot and having my own debrief.
I will use the Snapshot with at least two real clients between November and December and complete a short per-use learning note within 72 hours whenever possible.
Before my first client, I will name in writing who I would refer someone to if what surfaces sits outside my competence or role.
I will bring honest feedback, including confusion, disagreement, and experiences that challenge the design or theory.
Relational commitments within the group
Together, we will
bring specific moments rather than make global judgments about a client, practitioner, or the Snapshot
distinguish what we observed from what we interpreted, inferred, or recommend
not equate agreement, fluency, confidence, or positive feedback with maturity
allow contradictory experiences to remain visible rather than resolve them by majority vote
practice return when the work becomes uncomfortable, defensive, or uncertain
Developmental sovereignty and client protection
The person completing the Snapshot decides what their experience means. A practitioner's reading is one more thing in the room, not the answer.
The same applies within the cohort. We will not interpret another participant's report, pattern, or history on their behalf, in the room or outside it.
I will explain that the Snapshot is a reflective self-inquiry, not a diagnostic, clinical, psychometric, or validated assessment. Use will be voluntary.
I will not use the Snapshot, or anything I learn here, to make or inform decisions about hiring, selection, promotion, performance, readiness, or another consequential decision about a person.
I will work within my competence and role. If something surfaces that sits outside them, I will pause and use the referral pathway I named.
Confidentiality
What participants share about their own lives and work stays in the room. We may take away what we learn, but not another person's story, name, or identifying details.
I will bring client material into the group only with that client's consent and will remove identifying details. In a small community, removing a name may not be enough.
No session will be recorded without the consent of everyone present.
Materials licence and public sharing
The Availability Snapshot, its reports, practitioner materials, and the frameworks and practices taught in the pilot belong to The Human Maturity Institute. I may use them in my own practice while my practitioner licence is current and may charge clients for my own work with them. My first 12 months are included in the programme fee, and the licence renews annually at the rate published on the membership page. If my licence lapses, I may complete work already begun with existing clients but not begin new work with the Snapshot.
I will not modify the instrument or materials, present them as my own, remove attribution, resell or republish them, or describe the Snapshot as validated, diagnostic, clinical, or psychometric. Unpublished material is for my own use and will not be circulated outside the cohort.
I am free to say that I am part of the founding cohort and to speak publicly about what I am learning, what I think, and what I would change, including critically. I will not share unpublished material, another participant's story, or a client's identity.
Feedback and research
HMI may use my feedback to improve the programme, instrument, reports, and practices in anonymised form. Direct quotations, public attribution, or a story that could identify me or a client require separate permission.
Nothing in this agreement makes me a research participant. Any research participation or published use of material from my work will be requested separately. I may decline or withdraw without affecting my place in the pilot.
Ending participation
Either of us may end participation. Refunds follow the published Return and Refund Policy. If HMI asks a participant to leave because of a material breach of developmental sovereignty, confidentiality, or the permitted use of the instrument and materials, no refund applies. Confidentiality, attribution, and restrictions on unpublished material continue after participation ends.
By signing, we confirm that we understand and agree to these commitments.
