Human maturity is the increasing stability of our availability to participate more fully in life. Not permanent openness — nobody manages that. The marker is the gap. How long between the thing that closes you and the return.

I have been watching that gap in rooms : in senior public servants, in leaders carrying more than they say, in myself. The Human Maturity Institute is where I am working that out in the open, and membership is how you come inside the inquiry rather than reading about it afterwards.

Some of you are here to follow the research. Some to build the practice in your own life. Some to bring it into work you already do with others. There is a tier for each.

What I will say plainly: this is not a finished framework delivered in modules. The theory is still moving, and members shape it — your observations become part of what I am studying. That makes this less polished than a course and more useful than one.

Here is what I can promise. I have spent twenty years alongside people in the moment they were deciding whether to stay open or close — in coaching conversations, in classrooms, on stage delivering keynotes, in the workplace, in boardrooms, in ceremonies, and sometimes in my own kitchen at 2am. I know that terrain. I cannot walk your stretch of it for you, and I would not trust anyone who offered to. But I can see it clearly, and I will stay with you until you can see it for yourself. The tiers below are different ways in.

What You'll Experience & Discover

Our approach encourages reflection as much as action. You’ll walk away not only with new techniques, but with a deeper understanding of how and why they work. The goal is to leave you with ideas and skills that feel clear, useful, and genuinely meaningful in your life.

Journey 01

Availability Practice Lab

This is a monthly 90-minute experiential practice community. Here is the thing. Reading about availability will not change your availability. Each month we take one thing and work it: brief framing, real practice on your own material, live coaching feedback, and space to let it settle. In company, with people who will tell you the truth. Come with something real.

Journey 01

Video Content

Every couple of weeks, or so, you receive video content that dives deep into concepts related to human maturity, availability, and participation. These videos will include practices for you to try yourself. Don’t just take my word around these concepts, explore and discover for yourself.
